So what’s it all about?

Well in simple terms, it’s a weekend FREE Acoustic/Folk Festival, with activities based mainly around the pubs in the Town centre of Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset all day and the evening of the Saturday 2nd September, and an open air concert on the Sunday 3rd September in Manor Gardens, Burnham-on-Sea.

This Year (2012) we have SEVEN PUB VENUES in the Town which support the event, and provide (with our help) FREE non stop Acoustic Music from noon until closing time on SATURDAY.
There will be an extra concert on THURSDAY Night at the Ritz Social Club (home of the well known Ritz Acoustic Club) with an uplifting “Acoustic Act”. Last year we had the fabulous “Sur Les Docks, the previous year “Dambuskers”. This is a charged event and ticket prices are £5 available in advance from Sea Breeze in Burnham-on-Sea. 01278 783276.
The FRIDAY Opening Concert is at the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre. This is a top class event at Burnham-on-Sea’s top venue. Last year we had Uiscedwr and Coracle, the previous year SHOW OF HANDS and Miranda Sykes. Tickets are between £15 and £20 and will be available closer to the event from Sea Breeze as well.

The Sunday hosts the “Folk in the Park” event which is a FREE six hour open air concert in Manor Gardens, with Bar, Refreshments, Childrens Entertainment, Traders Stalls.

Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of other Traditional forms of entertainment with a Dance Stage for Cloggers, Morrismen, Street Entertainers and Buskers in the High St.

We are also run a KidZone during the day on the Saturday, with face painting, Hair Braiding, Tombola, Clown etc.

If you are planning on staying over for the whole weekend, then Burnham-on-Sea (as a seaside resort) has a large number of Camping and Caravan Parks and Bed and Breakfast/Small Hotels. So put it in your diary now and come and have a fabulous weekend of Music, Fun and Fellowship with us all in Burnham-on-Sea on 30th August - 2nd September 2012.
